Park Your Car and enjoy a relaxing walk around downtown and you’ll find restaurants, antique shops, and interesting specialty stores. Stroll along the river and through peaceful McCormick Park. Choose your dinner destination from several great restaurants. After your meal, walk over to the Williamston Theatre for a live play, or go to the Sun Theatre for a first-run movie. Enjoy beverages and ice cream before and after the show, and you still don’t need your car!

Fireworks Glass Studio  is worth the drive to Williamston by itself!  The glass blowing is always fascinating to watch.  It is truly art created right in front of your eyes. This is a unique shop that brings creativity and a uniqueness to the community. If you’re looking for a special handcrafted gift, pick from already completed glass, or watch it being done! This is the location for holiday bulbs, orbs and liquor bottle stoppers. Each is more beautiful than the next. So many colors and varieties to choose from.  Absolutely amazing! (517) 655-4000

Williamston Theatre

Williamston Theatre is one of Michigan’s very finest!  It is a professional Equity Theatre whose mission is to offer audiences a diverse array of intimate storytelling experiences. Since it was founded in 2006, its thirteen seasons have brought lovers of live theater from far away.  The diligence and professionalism of the founders, directors, and staff have earned notable awards. The Sun Theatre was built in 1947, and became a landmark to the small town of Williamston Michigan.  In 1979, Russ and Carol Robitaille bought the movie theater as it was abandoned and not operating.  After renovations, the Sun reopened in February, 1980. The charming one-screen movie theater became an iconic figure in Williamston.  In 2001 it was bought by Russ and Carol’s son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Lisa Robitaille. (517) 655-1850

Williamston Depot Museum is located seven miles east of Michigan State University.  The Depot Museum aims to preserve the history and artifacts of Williamston.. (517) 230-9030

Community Events throughout the year include the annual Light Parade in December and free concerts at the band shell in McCormick Park all summer long. Contact the Williamston Area Chamber of Commerce for information. (517) 655-1549

McCormick Park is located just north of Tavern 109. A beautiful park for kite flying, softball, and frisbees! The park features a deck over the river for easy fishing, a walking trail, volleyball pits, and playgrounds. The band shell hosts summer music concerts every Thursday. Summer also offers the week-long Jubilee activities in June, the Art Fest, and the National Night Out. 

Williamston Farmers Market is open May-October featuring local fresh fruit, vegetables, handmade merchandise and live entertainment. The farmers market is in McCormick Park every Sunday at 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.

Burgdorf’s Winery is located in a country setting. A True Michigan™ winery, producing their award winning Truly Michigan™ wines on site using fruit, estate grown and from Michigan farmers. (517) 655-2883

Joey’s Pet Outfitters features a large dog park all year round, they also have a self washing station.

Williamston Township Park features acres of nature trails, a pavilion and multiple soccer fields by the red cedar river. Near Burkley Road on Grand River.

Right in downtown Williamston you can have fun choosing where to eat. Simply park your car and browse the antique and specialty shops as you decide what kind of meal to try. The menus are varied and inviting, so just walk in and ask a host about the special of the day. Right downtown you can satisfy your hunger!
